I did not see a release date but apparently Bruce is releasing some sort of performance movie to accompany Western Stars, and he noted he will not be touring the album.

Man alive, I've heard the song a few times before, but I was listening to the Broadway show last night and Long Time Coming just hit me so hard. This guy's catalog is insane.

Listening to the new 12/29/80 Archives release -- amazing show in great sound, but good lord is Little Steven's voice terrible. I almost prefer the more bootleggy sounding shows, where you can't hear him.

I'll Stand By You from the Blinded by the Light soundtrack

The piano intro sounds an awful lot like For a Dancer by Jackson Browne.

Sure did. That trailer gave me goosebumps. I could listen to Bruce talk all day.

I'm struggling to think of another performing artist whose work I admire greatly, but whose persona I find endlessly annoying. Maybe Kurt Cobain?

I have no opinion either way. I just think coming off of the Broadway run and the Netflix special of the Broadway run, plus the way the new record sounds, it's super interesting that he's doing this.
