The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Sure did. That trailer gave me goosebumps. I could listen to Bruce talk all day.
fascinating
You are not a fan of this?
I have no opinion either way. I just think coming off of the Broadway run and the Netflix special of the Broadway run, plus the way the new record sounds, it's super interesting that he's doing this.
I will say it's the first time I thought he sounded old on that voice over.
I noticed that too. The encroaching frailty there was even more distinct thanks to the theater sound system when they played the trailer before Blinded by the Light.
Bruce may have recognized a while back the way that Neil’s back-and-forth allowed him to take breaks from specific creative outlets, refreshing one while others take center stage.
If Bruce releases an album of decent quality next year he will have notable releases in six consecutive decades. Incredible.
He's just the fucking best. His commitment to his craft is beyond admirable. In his book he was discussing the creation of Tom Joad and how he had partners and a team to help him research various issues of the west he wanted to discuss on the album. He mentioned something (i forget exact story details) of sending one of them out to New Mexico and doing some research for him.
That kind of blew my mind someone would take that much effort into crafting songs and stories as a musician. Imagine Ed being that committed?

I put the song Western Stars on a "sort of country/alt. country/country adjacent" mix that I made. And I get excited every time it comes on. It's a pretty great song. It's amazing how subtle it is and how it sneaks up on me.
