I don't see how my "prediction" is any more premature than others who are ranking it in Bruce's top 10.

I've listened to it a couple of times. And I don't feel like listening to it again. How is that too early to call?

Because it's not years from now. Maybe Moonlight Motel will seep into your soul.

I think most people here agree it is the best thing he's done since Magic. That is not exactly a high bar.

But why is that opinion not suspect, too?

Because I said so.

Let's rank the rankings.

Silently, in your own personal spaces.

Same here Joe. It’s good. And that’s enough for me right now.

I don’t think I can do another of these catalogue wide listens for a while...

On a brighter note, I have Western Stars in the car and every time I go to replace and the CD starts over I end up saying “ah...maybe one more spin.”

Man. Just finished his autobiography. What an exhilarating read. I am now convinced that there really isn't anyone better than Bruce Springsteen. Along with diving into his live shows provided by Let me Sleep....i have learned so much about an artist that I always loved but never took the full dive into.

I was so inspired and also depressed reading his book. Why wasn't i born with such fire and talent? Also made me want to give up my entire life right now and recommit to something. Reading his book was like listening to his live show. So cathartic, powerful, funny, beautiful, and inspiring.

What a fucking workhorse. hearing stories of the E Street band and how he manages their talents. how he views music and writing. He is really good at bringing you inside his head to learn about how he became such a good songwriter/storyteller, and guitar player.

I am super emotionally invested in him right now. I can't fucking wait for an E street tour.

You should have done the audiobook. Him telling his story in his own words changed forever how I see him. I don’t pretend to understand the strain and pressure he was under and struggles he went though. But his journey through darkest depressions and how he handled it I definitely did understand.

Plus it’s just better in his voice.

awe. I didnt know he did his own audio version of it. Thats awesome.

I loved his story about getting Jake Clemons ready for his role in the E Street Band. Those are the stories I want to hear. The musicality of the band and his songs. Incredible.

You’re both right though.
Bruce is the standard. And he doesn’t rest on his laurels.
He’s alsays striving to improve and go deeper.
That should be a basic standard to even begin with

The amount of work and research he puts into each of his songs that he crafts. Its incredible. No way Ed puts that much work into it

How much is a plate of eggs on a private jet all around Europe for a month?
You’d imagine the food and drink would be included in the price on s private charter.
Maybe not though
