The Ghost of Tom Joad - my overall rating B (this is an album that I had a better memory of than listening this time. Perhaps it is fatigue of listening to 11 albums in 3 days but it’s a bit more one note than I recalled. All the same the imagery is back!)
Songs to convert tree_: The Ghost of Tom Joad, Youngstown
Also good listening: Straight Time, The New Timer, Sinaloa Cowboys
Okay, 3 decades in three days...might take me a bit longer to get through the next few.
Inspired by several of you I'm going to listen to each album in chronological order. I'm through the Wild and the Innocent. Will start to post my impressions soon.

It’s a long ride to get through all 19. I believe I am 11 in. It’s a great catalogue that really runs the gamut.

Haven't listened to it a ton in recent years but Wild Innocent is fucking great. And also a really interesting look at Bruce with a totally different band... but just a few years from world domination. What a story.
I might hop on the full career relisten, too. Good idea.

strictly on a "re-listen" basis, what's your favorite so far?

There's so much organ. An organ lover's delight.
Sancious and Federici, bro.
If they were paid by the note, they sure made the most of every second.

Going into this, I always figured Darkness was my favorite but I think just really soaking in Born to Run I got an even stronger appreciation for it so I will say Born to Run. The album that most surprised me was The Wild the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle. I would say that shot up the favorites list dramatically giving it a fresh listen. That and I loved Nebraska
I will also note that this time through I had never really considered the continuing thread in The Ties That Bind. It really plays like a concept album.
