And what about Some Girls.

If you read the article (and I know you did) you already saw that the next sentence is: "Many songs from the apex of their career, were they released today, would receive a similar treatment, including tracks like “Stray Cat Blues,” a song about a 15-year-old girl, and “Under My Thumb,” a catchy little number about male aggression."

I'd add "Stupid Girl" and "Backstreet Girl" to that list, and I'm sure there are many more. I think the larger point is that Brown Sugar is one of the Stones' biggest hits, one that they still play at pretty much every show. So that separates it from tracks they can just sort of forget about. I didn't know that Jagger changes the lyrics to Brown Sugar regularly in concert, and that the vocals/words to song itself have been edited in recent reissues of Sticky Fingers.

So true.

"If the Rolling Stones released “Brown Sugar” today, no matter how quickly they wrote the song, the backlash would be instant. Twitter would lampoon them with carefully thought out hashtags. Multiple Change.org petitions would be signed. The band would be forced to issue an apology."

Guys the new Keith Richards album is great. And the Netflix documentary is pretty awesome too.

And it has Tom Waits in it.

I fuckin' love the Stones. One of the best bands for hanging out with your buds, burning one down, and kicking back beer.

True.

Some Girls might be my favorite for that.

I'm partial to Let It Bleed. Though any of the super 4 fit the bill (Beggars / Bleed / Sticky / Exile).

Sticky Fingers for me. Got two of my faves there in Sway and Moonlight Mile.

Although you can't go wrong with any of those five.

did you ever wake up to find
a day that broke up your mind?

destroyed your notion of circular time?

it's just that demon wife that got's you in its sway
x2

aint' shedding tears out on the dusty ground

for all my friends on the burial ground

its just that feeling that's gotten SO FAR DOWN

it's just that demon wife that gots me in its sway
its just that demon wife that gots me in its sway

there must be ways to find out
love is the way they say is really
strumming out

HEy Hey hey Now

one day I woke up to find
Right in the bed next to mine

someone that broke me up when I was, when I was

its just that demon wife that gots me in its sway
x 10
