Goats Head Soup is an under appreciated album. You are in the right place.
its very good yeah. Surprising to know that Bill Wyman only plays in three songs and then bass duties are from Taylor or Keith. Wonder what happened there.
I always loved Sympathy For The Devil, I think is one of their classics, the band really is jamming out with grace and Jagger performance is great, and in character. The lyrics are also fucking good.
I remember as a kid being also blown away with Gnr cover at the end of the Interview with the vampire movie. I didn’t know anything about it and then “ wow that’s Gnr and it’s covering the stones “
Beggar’s Banquet is phenomenal. I like the other 3 from them at run better, but I would probably still put it in my top 20 albums ever (all 4 make it on that theoretical list I have never made).

yeah, could be in a top 20. I should make that list, just to see it. Im guessing a lot of the 70s albums are there and both of Voodoo Lounge and Bridges To Babylon too, they mean a lot to me.
Top 20 favorite albums from anyone likely includes the big 4 Stones albums. Tattoo You, Some Girls, Goats Head Soup, and Between the Buttons are probably in the top 100.
10. Between the Buttons 9. Aftermath 8. Goats Head Soup 7. The Rolling Stones, Now 6. Tattoo You 5. Some Girls 4. Beggar’s Banquet 3. Let It Bleed 2. Sticky Fingers 1. Exile on Main Street
Im guessing mine would be something like this, but it will change of course
1.Sticky Fingers 2.Some Girls 3.Voodoo Lounge 4.Let It Bleed 5.Bridges To Babylon 6.Emotional Rescue 7.Black and Blue 8.Aftermath 9.Exile on main street 10.Stripped
That’s awesome. Since I was maybe 16 years old, I liked the Stones, and then really in my early thirties I really dug in more into their albums proper and found so much more…and yet, I would make excuses every tour for not seeing them, but it was mostly because l didn’t want to pay an excessive amount of money to go to the show. Now they are 80, and this could be our last chance, and finally I am going. I missed more than I ever should have.
I do enjoy every era for the most part (there are duds but in 60+ years I would expect that), but to me, that 4 run album from ‘68-‘72 is what I would define as the central experience of rock music.
