Black And Blue is one of my favorites. Hey Negrita is a tasty jam! From Beggar's Banquet through Tattoo You these guys were almost perfect. The first Stones record I got back in 1994 was Sticky Fingers. I dove a little deeper into their music in the early 2000's with Let It Bleed, but really got hooked on them about 3 years ago. They're my 2nd or 3rd favorite band behind PJ. Exile On Main St. is probably my ultimate favorite, though.
I remember not liking Black & Blue, but it's also been a long time since I've listened to it (2011?). It comes after that Mick Taylor run, and those albums are hard to top, and I remember thinking B&B was a big step down.
My favorites are still a toss up between Beggar's / Let It Bleed / Sticky Fingers / Exile.

Listening to 'Tattoo You' right now.
Cool tidbit about Black And Blue: Jimmy Page borrowed a little studio time from the Stones to finish Presence. Mick was prepared to give JP a month and all he needed was 2-3 days. I thought it was neat that both of these were recorded in the same place around the same time. Hang Fire and little T & A are a couple of my favorites from Tattoo You. Neighbours is awesome, too. There's a raw energy to their records back then that is indescribably good to me.
ETA: The four records you mentioned above can't be topped. The albums in between and after are good, but those are pretty much flawless. Black And Blue hit me just right driving home one night, so I have an affinity for it now.
just got back from the exhibitionism show, very cool. lots of instruments, outfits, and even a recreation of the shitty flat mick and keith lived in when they were starting out.

wards. Afterwards: Some Girls, Emotional Rescue, Tattoo You. I was pretty tired, but I do think there are some damn fine songs on that record. It doesn't compare to some of the bigger ones, like Sticky Fingers, but is a pretty good debut for Ronnie Wood. Lots of different styles throughout this record.
