During that same session, Depeche Mode also covered the Gordon Lightfoot classic “Sundown.” In the interview portion of the show, Dave Gahan said that the late Mark Lanegan used to send him playlists of songs that he wanted to hear Gahan cover, and one of those songs was “Sundown.” That’s a great song, and it’s weirdly perfect for an orchestral Depeche Mode cover

just because a person gets high or has black outs doesn't mean the full extent of his or her memory is completely gone.

I read it too and I 100% believe what he wrote. What good would it do him to make up stories ? That doesn't make sense

just because a person gets high or has black outs doesn't mean the full extent of his or her memory is completely gone.

Not only was he recounting things that allegedly happened while he was zombied out on ________ (insert substance here), but also these things were 30 years ago.
Generally accurate, sure. Details accurate? Meh.

He actually mentioned in interviews he wrote the whole book from memory and occasionally would call the people involved in the memories to confirm.
