Is the American Gods version of In The Pines available anywhere? Besides YouTube?

these American Gods re-recorded songs are so good. Between these and Bloodline I'm really hungry for an album of acoustic songs.

This is honestly what I expected Gargoyle to be.

I know I'm in the minority here but I want to see Mark just do another big fat rock record a la Screaming Trees. He still has it in him and, dammit, he's due for one (I'm talking guitar, bass, and drums, no synths whatsoever). I know Sad Lover and Beehive had some electronic elements but they certainly whet my appetite for a big dumb rock album. I wouldn't turn down another album like Houston or Field Songs though....

Where's a good place to start with him? I'm familiar with his QOTSA work, and quite like his bits (bit?) on Lullabies to Paralyse, so if that helps by all means show me they way ;)

Field Songs

It's my fav Lanegan and prob his most accessible work.

Field Songs, Whisky for the Holy Ghost, or Bubblegum for solo.

But if you want a great grunge record you can't go wrong with Sweet Oblivion (Screaming Trees)

I'd like to hear what Lanegan, Thayil and Shepherd could do. Maybe Barrett Martin on drums.

He was probably close with Cornell. Cornell produced Uncle Anesthesia. On the other hand, that album sounds terrible despite a lot of good songs, so who knows...

I'd say Whiskey For the Holy Ghost, I think it's more accessible than Field Songs, it's also my personal favorite
Either way, you can't go wrong with any of the ones mentioned here

true. Given what you're familiar with already I'd say bubblegum.
