I can’t pick one because I don’t ever feel like I can relate to the artists as much as the art. It’s sort of why I have never had the urge to meet band members, and I once met band members of this local band and I was wholly disappointed - the people never live up to the art. So I guess I need to abstain.

there’s a lot of writing about this, but the concepts are usually sincerity v artifice. i find it’s a compelling argument that even sincere or authentic works depend on a history of conventions (the constitutive parts of artifice) that mediate the authentic impulses that undergird their associative creative acts (songwriting, painting etc)

It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

I don’t care either way, just give me a passionate performance. I don’t care if the passion is faked as long as it is done well.

That’s the thing, I don’t think passion can be faked

If it’s true passion then it’s authentic

I am fascinated by your brain

Of course it's not "true" passion if you're faking it

Just because you decide to feel and act a certain way doesn’t make it phony
