Oh totally. I think is simultaneously what I like and dislike so much about them. I'm very conflicted about this band.

Can't Buy a Thrill has this element, but is much more tuneful and accessible, which is why you should go there next. It's so great.

Me and my buddy have this pact where if they are in the area we are 100% going.. skipped out on too many random shows

SD are surprisingly really popular around here, a lot of my friends are fans.. it's completely normal to go out for a night and hear a bunch of Dan on the juke

Most of you dudes just arent smart enough to fully dig the dan. We all have limitations, it's just I have less than you.

I dig what I know of the dan, but I'm not well versed on their catalog.

Dirty Work and My Old School are pretty great.

Just listened to Countdown to Ecstasy on the way home. New favorite song: King of the World. Fucking A. I listened to it at least 10 times.

I just had a comforting vision: Doug, with his ponytail, shorts, bare feet and paisley shirt, listening to Steely Dan whilst grilling up some meat and drinking whiskey despite his doctor's orders. This is one fully-formed, totally chill RM poster in my mind.

I'm gonna say the title track, Sign In Stranger, and Haitian Divorce are the greatest highlights.

I can't get this song out of my head. I've listened to it dozens of times the last 3 days. I'm gonna work it up.

The back half of Katy Lied is fucking my brain. Filled with stunning flourishes of melody and instrumentation. "Your Gold Teeth II" knocks me out.

"Everyone's Gone to the Movies"...it's about a pedophile showing porno movies to kids, yeah?

He's not necessarily a pedo but yeah pretty much. That song and Doctor Wu are my favorites on that album. Doctor Wu is special to me.
