I like that song alright but why did they even bother bringing in Duvall if they weren't going to let him sing? This is just Jerry solo shit...

yeah i agree...the song is cool..specially the bass intro. Thats a great moment.

There has been rumors of this record being a lot more bluesy, which sounds good to me. I hope to see more of Duvall in the next songs.

I can't imagine a more generic song than Stone.

i prefer Stone rather than Hollow....that song was generic Cantrell for me. I wish they would have chose a different producer.

Still, the record could be good.

Sure, but BGWTB had great songs on first listen that I still consider top Alice In Chains songs, like Take Her Out, Private Hell, Acid Bubble, Looking In A View...

Hollow, Stone and Phantom Limb souds so freaking generic, it's like Cantrell took a bunch of B-Sides and said "Now thats the sound we do for now on."

I miss Layne, but I still think BGWTB its a great album. (And I can clearly imagine Layne singing songs like Private Hell and Take Her Out)

I think Phantom Limb is easily the best out of the three we have heard so far, and from what I understand William wrote it and plays lead....

Hard to be positive or negative with these songs....they just kinda are what they are and that's that. If Layne was singing I might think they are the best thing ever....without him they are just kinda cool maybe. It's not really fair to the band but it is what it is.

They have been playing that one live and its amazing.

Also, i love to hear Chris Cornell, Ann Wilson and Mark Arm in an Alice in chains song.

I really like Sludge Factory from the unplugged as well. Not a big fan of the studio version.
