there's no thread for these guys here? i'm disappointed. i dunno why i didnt get into them earlier, but the band are incredible. they've got this weird mix of styles and sounds that blends perfectly. i've also watched 'the last waltz' probably 30 times since december. highlights:

Adore The Band. I have the shirt below. One of the first songs I ever learned on the guitar was You Ain't Goin' Nowhere. Yes it's a Dylan song (well he wrote it) but I think of The Band when I hear it. Very underrated.

I only have (and heard) Music From Big Pink and The Basement Tapes which are probably two of my favorite albums since a few years. Because of this situation, I'm afraid of delving deeper into their catalogue. I hear that their self-titled record is equally great and that it went kind of downhill from there. Please enlighten me, RM.
BTW, I'm not a fan of their sound on Planet Waves and Before the Flood. I have only watched The Last Waltz once when I couldn't even tell who was who onstage (save for Ringo and Dylan).
