The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I've been listening to live versions of Tropic Morning News today, and I think it's a great choice for the first single. Sounds like a Sleep Well Beast song had a baby with something off of Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers.
I'm into it.

Up for pre-order now. I was just a little slow on the Spotify-exclusive vinyl, which was green. Not a fan of white vinyl, so will maybe look for the red indie-exclusive, which shouldn't be hard to get.
I'm enjoying the new song. I really hope this is an indicator for the rest of the album. Not necessarily all uptempo songs, but at least a few. I feel like Trouble Will Find Me best encapsulates the overall sound of this band, and this song--to me--would fit on TWFM.

Well, this very much sounds like The National. A little dull, but it's good enough for them. Not great, not bad.
How would you rate this?
C+. Just feels very average for them. It will easily blend into a National playlist and not stand out. I am a little worried that this is their lead single.

From their references to Weird Goodbyes being a physical release on its “future home,” and Aaron Dessner’s reference to all the music they recorded, it sounds like there could another new album / EP right around the corner.

Is it going to come out the same week as the EP with leftover music from Pearl Jam’s avacado album? Remember those days?
I’m on the fence about ordering that just for the flexi single, but I’ve got the membership, I might as well use it.

I would certainly welcome a collection of non-album material spanning their career thus far, assembled like Frankenstein's monster. Though, I feel the expanded edition of High Violet was released four or five months after the initial album.
