honestly, I love this band and am excited about new music from them. so far only one of the new songs has been an immediate like, and that's Tropic Morning News.

these songs make me want to go listen to Alligator - TWFM tho.

Yeah it's all very samesy... but when I think about it, that's probably what I want from The National, just not right now. There will probably be a time this year I really get into them again.

I’ve decided to not listen to the newest single, and wait for the album.

Only one of these songs so far has me hooked, and that’s Tropic Morning News.

I would certainly welcome a collection of non-album material spanning their career thus far, assembled like Frankenstein's monster.
Though, I feel the expanded edition of High Violet was released four or five months after the initial album.

These are obviously two different options but it sure would be nice to add to my non-album collection.
