All this talk about "Sympathetic Noose" is making me think of the super sexy-sounding alternate version. Have you guys ever heard it?

I think I stopped caring after Baby 81. B.R.M.C, Take Them On... and Howl were all fantastic, though.

Been listening to these guys all week. Still have a problem getting into Specter... there’s some good songs on it (love Sell It & Firewalker), but I dunno. And I think it’s I never gave Wrong Creatures a chance. That album is really cool, sounds like they were trying something different and it worked.

Edit -

Right now I’d rank

Howl
Baby 81
ST
Devils Tattoo
Wrong Creatures
Take Them On
Specter

Circus Bazooko is rapidly becoming my favorite BRMC song.

That album slays. Bet it sounds real nice on vinyl. You're one lucky ballbag.

I first saw them open for.....The Vines? I think at the Quest in MPLS. Circa 2002.

I had never heard of them and only went to see the Vines because that was another banger of a record at the time.

I almost left after BRMC because i knew the rest of the night was down hill.

Saw them numerous times over the following years. Best show I ever saw was at the Varsity Theater just after Howl was released.

I still love the band but there shows are less exciting. I think they are tired and bored. Or leah, the drummer, just doesnt have the groove that Jago had. Or a combo of the two.

The Vines on the Highly Evolved tour would've been great also. Never managed to catch them or BRMC. Saw The Strokes, Hives and White Stripes, but no Vines or BRMC.

First Strokes show was brutal.

Drove out to Madison, WI to see them at a theater. This was just at the end of college/just after college (memory is foggy) and visited friends in Madison. Huge college/party town. Got drunk as shit. Har Mar Superstar opened the show. This was in his prime fucked up/alcoholic party/weird stage. He opened the show and played for....i dont know....40 minutes.....he put a stage mic to a boombox as his backing band and danced/sang in his underwear.

Strokes came out and played like 30 minutes and left.

Awful night.
