That song's so old, you can smell it all the way from over here!

Thread integrity, yo.

Wait, this is a thread about "oldies." Who says oldies music is only 50's music? That's weird. And incomplete. I think Pretty Woman is absolutely an "oldie."

He specified 50s in his opening post

I can get behind this thread, but I wish we had enough fans of this stuff to necessitate more specific threads within this genre. I love the sound of these songs. Labels and studios really told you a lot about the sound of a record before you even dropped the needle.

This one kills me every time. It must have sounded so futuristic when it was released like a lot of those records at the dawn of the Space Age did. Old and new at the same time.

they say for every boy and girl

there's just one love in this whole world

and I - I know
I- I - I

found mine

the heavenly touch of your embrace tells me no one could take your place
ever
in my heart

young love
first love

filled

with true

devotion

young love
our love

we share
with deep
emotion

etc

This song came up on my random feed the other day, I love who the Clash ripped it off for "Wrong 'em Boyo"
