For those of you wondering where my comment came from, WCT and I and I know a few others here are long, longtime veterans of a particular Nirvana site with a long and...storied history.

Forget I said anything. I'm glad Ziegler uploaded a new copy of this but I wish, as I often do, that he would have chosen a more democratic way of sharing the material.

Holding up a VHS camera in front of a large screen TV is perfectly legitimate, Matt. Stop complaining. We are very lucky he shares these things with us.

So he has purposely worsened the quality and then shared?

Well, in the case of this show, no, it's a normal proper upload and is as good an upgrade as is possible by using youtube. Actually, how lossy is youtube, anyone know for sure? I know it's not as bad now as it used to be, but I'd still rather get a lossless Dime upload which is what I'm guessing Matt is alluding to.

I guess WC's twin is having a joke (at least I hope so!) or do people actually film gigs playing on their TV and then upload? That would suck, reminiscent of back in the 80's when people would open-mic record shit from radio to cassette.

yeah, wouldn't be shocking if Kim put the kabash on it. doesn't seem like something he'd want to do.

a solo Matt C album could be interesting. i'd love to hear his work without it getting fixed by the bands he's in. even if it's just to get an idea of what kind of creative ideas he brings to the table. i'm sure he has a lot of songs out there that neither band really grasped on to.

He does, and Wellwater Conspiracy recorded and released like 30 of them.

Since I promised and never followed through, and since I'm stuck inside due to snow, I figured I might as well finish this and let you guys have it. But remember this: if this ends up on any sort of public forum beyond here, and especially if this ends up being sold, I'm pulling all the goods. I won't ever share anything ever again here, and maybe elsewhere.
