You must never have been there
Oklahoma is terrible. It's one of our worst states by almost every metric, including stolen sports teams.
I'm glad to see they're playing a lot of these places, since some of these cities either have never seen SG or it's been since the early 90s for others. But the sad thing is that they're playing a lot of really shitty rock festivals, and I have to think that a group as well-known and legendary as SG should be able to do better.

Guys, I am not a moderator! I swear to God! Why does everyone think I'm a moderator?

I'm sure fans on a secondary ZZ Top message board are saying the same thing.

I don't think a smaller club tour of more conventional markets would nab Soundgarden the same take that a festival tour would. They'd be playing to smaller rooms, and may even have to do more shows to get the same net profit (depends on how much % they get for headlining a festival). They'd have to haul their gear and support staff around more, whereas they can offload some of that work to the festival organizers. Plus they'd be playing for the converted on a smaller, more conventional tour. A festival tour allows them to get warmed up for the studio, hopefully nab some new, younger fans, and minimize their overhead while on the road (plus it's guaranteed ticket sales).

I'm not even sure if Soundgarden is as big as Alice In Chains minus Layne. Here's the question...would a Audioslave reunion tour be bigger than a Soundgarden tour?
