I always found it a bizarre decision that Chris made in the early days to perform topless.
I’m sure he was highly embarrassed about that later on.
Hard disagree. I mean, the guy was performing in Von Dutch wifebeaters there for a while. And then Soundgarden t-shirts.
He did not GAF
Yeah, there are photos out there of him in his latter days (possibly solo or with Soundgarden) performing shirtless occasionally, and he wouldn't have been in as good shape as he was when younger and shirtless all the time.

It's a real catch-22 when replacing a lead singer especially at this stage in their career. There aren't really any of Chris's peers who would be willing or able to take over. You don't want to do what STP did and get a unknown white guy who sounds and dresses like him cause then its more like musical theater. Plus I think there are a lot more casual STP fans that just want to hear some hits and get drunk it doesn't matter who is signing as long as it sounds like the radio. Does SG have a lot of casual fans? Maybe. I get why SG and Nirvana tend to go with female singers cause they can more or less be in range and you can avoid any comparisons. The other option is to get a guy who looks way different like AiC and Journey did so even if they sound a lot like the original guy its less annoying. Like Corey Glover maybe? Really I'd rather see them do a side project with Josh Homme I think they would pair real well and the SG guys would force Homme to bring his A game.

I’m in favor of them really going the whole different route game. Josh Homme would be amazing so long as they didn’t pretend to still be Soundgarden.
Originally, BMF was scheduled to be released on September 24th, the same day as Nirvana’s Nevermind. However, when the album jackets were printed, the band was super disappointed with the artwork. We’ve included the initial LP cover art here ... The pastel color selection resembled “sweet tarts” candy, chalk, or children’s chewable vitamins. The A&M president agreed and supported us by having the cover redone by their art dept. and overseen by Kim. The initial print run was sent to markets where fewer heavy rock records were sold. Congratulations to Brazil on possessing rare collectible versions! The album’s release date was subsequently pushed back to October 8th.
I think I actually prefer this version, especially the back cover:

I guess PJ had no problem with their pink cover
