Here is what should be Chris Cornell's full studio discography, including studio covers and remixes. If any of these songs dont' belong, or if I am missing anything, please let me know. I do not nearly known his deep catalog well enough to make decisions. I move Wed. and get internet access back the following Monday, so this should likely start 6/19 or 6/20.

One for the traders/collectors... I've just authored a nice little dvd of their Promo/TV stuff from 1996. The idea behind this was to have something similar to the Nirvana "94 Project" bootleg.
Contents: 1. "Kaiser Kellar's Cellar" EPK - transferred from my own A&M master vhs (20mins). Interview with the band by Alain & Natasha from Eleven, and video for 'Pretty Noose'. I uploaded an edited version to youtube a few years ago. 2. "Greeting" - transferred from my own A&M master vhs (1min). The band thank fans for attending an album launch/listening party 3. SNL - got these from the net, Pretty Noose (88MB MPEG, no logo), Burden in my Hand (96MB MPEG, SubTV logo). Average quality (10mins) 4. MTV Studios - taped by Axel, currently on Zomb. Slightly better than my own master vhs. I've just tidied it up a little (25mins).
All in PAL 4:3, which is why I didn't include the recent 1080 NTSC version of 'Burden' from SNL. I'm a little hesitant to put this dvd out there in case the SNL stuff is circulating in better quality... is it? If anyone has a master version from the original broadcast, please get in touch and I'll add it to the dvd. I can then upload to Zomb or wherever (it won't be allowed on Dime for sure).

I can't get over how much better the early, Endino-recorded versions of the Ultramega OK songs (as included on the new reissue) are compared to what ended up on the final album. I can't stop blasting 'em.

So I finally listened to the Badmotorfinger Remaster last night.
1. What an awesome album; one of the best "indie bands on a budget" albums ever made, I think. Shepherd's addition to the band is immediate. The last minute of Slaves & Bulldozers is as good as anything in their catalog.
2. The remaster doesn't do the album any favors. Terry Date is such a shitty producer/engineer; his albums always sound so flat and lifeless. The remaster just makes it more obvious. Ugh.

I've not listened to the remaster as there's no point. A remaster is not going to separate the channels or give the album any depth. It needed a remix, albeit a slight remix - nothing as radical as what was done to Ultramega OK was required (that remix rocks, btw), but it needed more attention than a straight-forward remaster. The original is just too muddy.

That's a great idea!, I think that to your list this should be included too:
-1996-xx-xx "VIVA JAM 123" (German TV-Special)
I have this one from a torret grabbed at Dime a while ago and be glad to contribute them.
Also, I think there are a lot of great footage that can be complied in the way of the Pearl Jam Jason A Archives set, on the top of my head, I think we all could contribute and make it something like this:
1. Early years up to break up in 1997 (1986 KCMU footgae, 1989 Rockumentary footage, Headbanger's Ball Specials, Live, 1994 Japan TV Special, Bill Nye The Science Guy feature, Self Pollution Radio, Kickstand Live 1994, 1996 SNL, MTV Line N Loud, Kaiserkellar Interview, etc) 2. Reunion/Telephantasm period (Beyond The Wheel Showbox footage, 2010 Lollpalooza footage, Conan O Brian Live Show, interviews, TADgarden footage as easter egg maybe, Black Rain video) 3. King Animal period (the youtube vignettes, Live To Rise In Studio Clip and video, Live To Rise live at KROQ Weenie Roast, King Animal Trailer, Worse DReams teaser clip) 4. Superunknown reissue footage (Guitar Center preview interview, Spoonman and My Wave at Jimmy Fallon, Mike McCready, Dave Grohl and Chster Benington intervews)
Let me know if someone is interested on, I have several of the listed clips in the best available quality and would be glad to contribute.

I remember seeing that 'Viva Jam' dvd a few years ago, but never grabbed it. I found it on TTD so I'm downloading now. A lot of it is dubbed in German which is probably why I didn't grab it originally. I also have the 3min MTV News clip from 4/97 (master copy) from when they split up.
They did a lot of TV interviews in 1996/97, just from looking at youtube... MTV News Report 4/96 (Pretty Noose video shoot), 3mins MTV 120 Minutes 96 (Chris & Kim), 30mins Swedish TV 9/96 (Chris), 25mins Toronto 11/96 (Chris & live clips), 7mins Australian TV 1/97 (Chris & Kim), 11mins
The problem is trying to find that stuff in best quality, not just youtube downloads!

I must be the only person alive who doesn't mind Terry Date's production on Louder Than Love and Badmotorfinger; yes, it's of its time (same as Ten, Nevermind, etc.) but the performances are great and the guitars sound huge, something that was lacking in some of their earlier recordings.
The Ultramega OK remix by Endino is nice but it really underscores that how weak the recording and performances are, the guitars in particular sound really thin and the band sound completely stilted.

Wish it was the whole album, but it's these:
Head Injury Beyond the Wheel Incessant Mace He Didn't All Your Lies
They're all the definitive versions now as far as I'm concerned, it's like a long-lost follow up EP to Screaming Life.

Throw in the Peel version of Flower from Telephantasm and you're almost there!

Those Endino versions of Beyond the Wheel, and Head Injury are killer. Those "early versions" are my favorite thing about the re-release.

Yeah, it's great to finally have that early version of "Beyond the Wheel" in good quality. It's been around for years on a bootleg called "Seattle Scruffs" but was slowed down and hissy, etc.
