Woah. I had no idea Matt wrote Birth Ritual.
That's awesome.
Also interesting that the title "Badmotorfinger" was a Thayil mashup of the Montrose song "Bad Motor Scooter" and the group Badfinger, who he is a fan of and we are currently discussing in the random music thread.

Original version....SST vinyl!!!
I havent listened to the Endino mix...im guessing yeah, he sure did a great job.
I will admit the original has a certain charm, but the Endino mix elevated the album into the 'to be taken seriously' category, for want of a better term.

Ok, Its been a while list I last heard from that Vicky vs SG court case... Did I miss anything or is there still nothing new?
Last thing I heard is that SG regained control over their social media. But what's the status on the new album dispute? Or are they just quietly working on an out of court settlement?

things have been super quiet about that lawsuit after the band and Vicky seem to be in better terms. I would be surprised if they are going forward with the last SG album.

Amazing album but there’s a lack of tooth to the production that bothers me. None of the guitars or snare hits hit me viscerally like they do on Superunknown.

Well, SU has the benefit of being produced by Michael Beinhorn, famous by being an obsessive with drums and drummers in studio.
Still, i love the production in DOTU. The band sounds amazing, tight and the same time there is this feeling of...unfinished jam about the whole thing.
