Pearl Jam: Vitalogy Pearl Jam: Binaural Pearl Jam: Yield Neil Young: On the Beach, Ragged Glory, Zuma Tom Waits: Mule Variations, Bone Machine, Rain Dogs The Replacements: Let it Be, Tim Paul Westerberg: Stereo/Mono BRMC: Howl Black Keys: Rubber Factory War on Drugs: Lost in a Dream Black Crowes: Amorica Dylan: Highway 61, Blood on the Tracks Hold Steady: Boys and Girls in America Queens of the Stone Age: Like Clockwork... Radiohead: Ok Computer Bon Iver: Fore Emma Wilco: Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Tom Petty: Wildflowers Beatles: Let it Be Not in any particular order as that would be too difficult and it depends on the day. Pretty standard issue list as far as Strat goes. Not the hippest or coolest but these albums have definitely impacted my being. |

I like Global a Go Go a lot, but it's a bit too sprawling and genre-exercise-y. X Ray Style has a bunch of songs I love to death, that are as powerful as they are unassuming and sincere-- like "Willesden to Cricklewood", "Nitcomb", and the gorgeous title track. I also listened to that album incessantly during my first year of college, and as a result it's much more ingrained in my memory than any other Strummer or Clash album. |
