It changes all the time for me, too. It's a fun exercise but it's not easy and ultimately pointless because it'll be different sooner than later.

I need to try this, especially after all these album journeys but one album per artist wouldn’t make sense to me. I can count a couple of artists at least where multiple albums would make my top 25.

Oh it definitely changes things. My list would be very different with multiple albums per artist. But it's fun to see a wider variety and depth, just as an exercise. But, by all means, do your list however you want. I'd love to see what makes the cut for you.

To be fair I need at least 100. This I am sure isn’t right but it’s the best I got for the moment - in reverse order to maximize the drama:

25. Blood on the Tracks (Bob Dylan)
24. American Beauty (Grateful Dead)
23. Rust Never Sleeps (Neil Young & Crazy Horse)
22. Rubber Soul (The Beatles)
21. Pet Sounds (The Beach Boys)
20. Quadrophenia (The Who)
19. New Adventures in HiFi (R.E.M.)
18. Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd)
17. Cosmo’s Factory (Credence Clearwater Revival)
16. After the Goldrush (Neil Young)
15. No Code (Pearl Jam)
14. Z (My Morning Jacket)
13. Abbey Road (The Beatles)
12. The Band (The Band)
11. Who’s Next (The Who)
10. On the Beach (Neil Young)
9. The Wild the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle (Bruce Springsteen)
8. Binaural (Pearl Jam)
7. It Still Moves (My Morning Jacket)
6. Blonde On Blonde (Bob Dylan)
5. Vitalogy (Pearl Jam)
4. Born to Run (Bruce Springsteen)
3. Wildflowers (Tom Petty)
2. Sticky Fingers (The Rolling Stones)
1. Exile on Main Street (The Rolling Stones)

If I could expand another 25-75 albums, you’d see more Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, MMJ, Stones, Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Grateful Dead, and maybe Radiohead, Black Crowes, Nirvana, Jane’s Addiction, Soundgarden, etc.

You are the first to mention this. And this was one of my first thoughts when thinking about this after seeing this thread bumped. Great choice.

I need to do a deep dive into JB. I don't know much outside of that album and his hits.
