Again, I'm having trouble with the singer. Instrumentally speaking, yes, I can definitely see what you're saying. But his singing style is a disgusting cocktail of the singers from 7 Mary 3, Sublime, and any of the rap-rock bros from '97.

I remember always being bothered by how the dude held his guitar with his elbow all sticking out like that

They had plenty of genuinely good songs in their prime. They didn't really sound like anyone else, IMO. There's something interesting to me about the way they blend a laid-back California surfer-slacker vibe with aggressive rock. Boyd's bro-y vocals were an important part of their aesthetic.

I always thought Boyd was a bit of a Megalomaniac, but maybe it was Just A Phase.

If you're unfamiliar with their catalogue, I recommend you Make Yourself a playlist.

These puns are all better than Bon Iver.

Yeah, you don't have to be a Stapp fan to see that writer is a shithead. Especially the part about writing about him wanting to vape. Why is that necessary to include? Just to have a little power trip?

I really hated Incubus when I was growing up, but sometimes I find my impressions of those bands change when I get older and have developed some perspective, so I just checked a few quick Youtube videos to see if I'd changed my mind. No such luck.

That reminds me, who was the big Sevendust fan here? Was it dkfan?
