i did buy Gigaton on CD, but only because i wanted to rip it.
I usually buy every PJ record on vinyl and CD. But I've only done the vinyl for the last two. I guess because Spotify is such a big part of how I consume music now? Not really sure. But now that we're talking about it, I'm kinda bothered by the fact that I don't own the complete PJ on CD.

Love 'em! CD's have been my preferred format ever since I got my first one. I stream, I download, I even have a (modest and very undisciplined) collection of LP's, but when I really want to add something to my library, I buy it on CD, and I still buy quite a few. I'm sure there's some nostalgia tied up in it, but I've always just really enjoyed everything about them.
That said, I don't think a slight sales bump in a year where multiple top-selling acts put out major releases constitutes a renaissance of the format.

I don't have PJ20 either and that's the one I don't really feel like I need. I have the vinyl (thanks again friendly and awesome RMer -- you know who you are ) and that's all I need for that.
I actually have 2 copies of LB on vinyl because the first one they sent me was scratched.

Couple that with supply chain issues with vinyl...

I still like CDs too. When I buy new albums from international artists it's usually on vinyl (I love the big album art), but local independent musicians usually put out CDs and sell them at gigs so I constantly buy those.

this love for CDs is concerning. Limited to 16/44.1, crappy jewel cases that are always getting chipped, you get a scratch and they're skipping...
Like others have mentioned, I'll occasionally buy one from a small local act to support their biz, but good riddance is generally my view. Pieces of crap.
