I would say that I'll send you my copy of the WZ book, but we know how that turned out with "Born to Run." |

I think malk started to dig at scott a bit in his lyrics. "we are underused," specifically. WZ was the first real pavement band album. Malk played most of the parts other than drums before that, and i think he felt he didnt get enough credit for it? |

We're so different. Pavement might actually be my favorite band. I've never really thought that hard about it, but after getting back on the wagon it just feels right. |

Really hoping that tomorrow's new album captures some of the energy that was lost on Wig Out At Jag-bags. |

Yeah, the song she features in, "Refute" is out already. It's good. I'm pretty unfamiliar with The Jicks and SM solo but I'll give this a listen. |

Which Jicks-related music are you familiar with? Any? I've only listened to some songs from that trag posted once because Janet Weiss was on drums. They probably were from "Real Emotional Trash". But yeah, virtually nothing |

You should give Mirror Traffic a try. This one's great, and contains a few of my favorite Malkmus lyrical phrasing of the Jicks era: And this one with some of my favorite guitar phrasing. |

I came here to shit on SM & the Jicks, but then WM's passion for them changed my mind and I'll give them (yet another) chance. |

In that same spirit, I had Brighten the Corners on while riding home last night. It was hot even though it was almost twilight. I was riding westward. Gorgeous day. The music made so much sense. |
