Dave Grohl seems to like them, at least he decided to mention the band and play a short clip of Swallowed in Sonic Highways. I guess he could have left it out, him being the director and all...

Albini's on-going defense of Bush seems to go against every other musical opinion that has ever come out of his mouth. I'm no Bush-lover, nor a Bush-hater; they're one of the better corporate grunge acts, I suppose, despite their lack of any music approaching something original. But surely he can see how derivative their band was, and admit that without the good-looking frontman (a point he casually brushes off in the above link), they probably wouldn't have amounted to much? And yet he shits on PJ repeatedly...
I love Steve Albini, but I can admit he's often a blowhard. This is one of those times.

I only ever really liked two tunes from them. Little Things and Everything Zen. Never cared for Glycerine at all. Saw them with Goo Goo Dolls and No Doubt opening back in the day.

Glycerine must have one of the highest boringness to popularity ratios of all time. I like 6 or 7 Bush songs but the lyrics are so bad it takes away from everything else, and I'm not someone who usually focuses on lyrics at all.

I enjoyed in the Woodstock 99 doc when they acted like Bush were heroes for successfully trying to get the crowd to simmer down, steadfastly refusing to consider that perhaps the crowd of drunken, limp bizkit loving frat boys just didn’t give a fuck about Bush
