Other than Pearl Jam, who else is there?

well sure, everything is going to fall short when you put it up against the year when the greatest rock masterpiece ever was released

You can really say anything on Twitter.

My top five artists were Phoebe Bridgers, Tom Waits, Tierra Whack, Lucy Dacus, & Laura Marling. My aura was wistful and yearning.

Mogwai, Kanye, Turnstile, Smashing Pumpkins and D'Angelo.
Top track was Mogwai's 'Ceiling Granny', followed by Kanye's 'Off the Grid'. Then a bunch more Mogwai and some Turnstile.

Has anyone checked out the older Turnstile stuff yet? I’m wondering how it compares.

The further back you go, the more they seem to lean on their hardcore roots. It's not completely devoid of pop and metal elements, but it's certainly less refined in terms of overall sound.

I figured Elizondo had a big hand in the sound of this one, but wasn't sure of the extent. Still probably my #2 pick for AOTY.

Don't use Spotify, but if I had to guess:
ArtistsThundercat
Flying Lotus
Radiohead/Thom Yorke
Steve Reich
Nels Cline/Wilco
GenresJazz
Minimalist/krautrock (sorry Malloy)
Classical
Rock
Country
This is the first year in a really long time that I went deep on jazz, but I didn't really focus on one artist. Bounced around a lot.
AOTY: Floating Points & Pharoah Saunders
Runner-up: Turnstile
Edit: Ok, the thing I probably listened to the most is a playlist of music my kid likes to listen to. But I'm not counting that.

I think Floating Points/Pharoah Sanders is album of the year for me too, trag

That thing has just grown and grown on me. I don't put it on all the time because it's pretty weighty, but I have no doubt I'll still be spinning it in 20 years (god willing).

So my music moods are "yearning" and "melancholy," my most-listened-to songs are a bunch of millennial pop, my top genre is jazz, and my top artist is Ramones. See? Messy

I dont use Spotify that much i guess this year, because it list Jeff Ament as my fourth most listen artist and its because of his album, which i listened a lot, but still.
Also the genres are weird, Alternative Rock and Indie Rock arent the same?
Top 5 artists
Pearl Jam
Phoebe Bridgers
St Vincent
Ament
Kanye West

The genres are odd. My list was
Singer-Songwriter
Indie Rock
Anti-Folk
Art Pop
Indie Pop
but I don't even know what those are and the lines so blurry now. In a post-radio world, music genres are kind of unhelpful and meaningless
