Your most memorable trips to the record store:
13th birthday, a few friends and I went to the mall arcade. Snuck off to the Musicland and bought Ten and Aerosmith's Get a Grip on cassette.
Sometime in '96, weekend church youth retreat to Milwaukee. Mom gave me just enough money to pay for meals. Spent it all at Sam Goody on night one, lived off continental breakfast and the kindness of strangers for the next 2 days. I think I bought Down on the Upside, Mirror Ball and Merkin Ball on CD. If I weren't married I would still manage my money this way.
2003, first semester of my 2nd try at college. Had recently started reading Pitchfork. Bought New Pornos "Electric Version," Damien Jurado's "Rehearsals for Departure," BRMC, and I think Pretty Girls Make Graves' first album in one trip. Still listen to 3 of those on the reg.

For some reason, whenever I try to think of my shopping experiences at the old Tower Records in Barranquilla, I default to the time I bought Heathen Chemistry by Oasis

I couldn't have possibly had a more different upbringing from Ice Cube and I don't relate to his lyrics even a little but damn his early 90's stuff is hot fire!

I've listened to Damn. once a day (at least) for the last couple of weeks. It is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite records.

You are referring to his architecture studies at Phoenix Institute of Technology?
