I don't think The Strokes have any bad albums. Even the ones that reviewed poorly or are widely considered to be on the weaker side are perfectly fine to my ears. Maybe they don't take enough risks to disappoint.
I agree with this but also I don’t feel like listening a whole album from them. It’s more a song or two from time to time. They have a new album ready right? Produced by Rick Rubin
Rick Rubin, huh. I'm sure it'll sound okay. He seems like more of a group therapist than producer extraordinaire these days, though. "I wanted the band to feel comfortable, to be the best version of themselves, so that the songs would flow organically..."

Aight cool, but what did you actually do, Rick?
yeah, he said that in the past...he is being humble actually. He did lots of beats and sounds from the Beastie Boys album or the Jay Z produced sessions. Not to speak how he changed RHCP actually.
But yeah, he seems to be more oriented to point stuff at the artists or talk about a particular sound than actually being a musician or engineer.

Rick’s always been a vibe guy. His gift is feeling the music and cutting away anything that detracts from the simplest, most impactful version of the song. His genius is completely deserved IMO, even if his records tend to be overly compressed
If you asked me to describe the definition of a new English word:
Klinghoffer: (noun) a person or thing that attaches itself as an appendage to an entity for an indeterminate timeframe, often in substitute for a missing piece of such entity.
I.e. First the Chili Peppers, then Pearl Jam, and now Jane’s addiction!? That Josh is a real klinghoffer.
