Listening to the Rolling Stone podcast with Melissa Etheridge. She does a subscription tv stream with different tiers. Every week she does 3 x 1 hour acoustic shows. Covers show, Deep Cuts show and a Saturday night concert with her classics.

Each are $10 a go or a monthly subscription for $50.

What a great idea.

Yeah, that's really awesome. Surprised more artists aren't doing something similar.

There is no artist to whom I would spend fifty dollars a month to get access to 12 hours of YouTube videos

We talk so much about retracking albums here (and I've done it so much over the course of my life) that it's easy to forget most people think it's a super weird thing to do. My girlfriend was horrified when I first told her about it

I get that you're ESL, but this seems like a gross exaggeration.

This is how you always are and I am numb to it. It is fine.

more importantly, what was the re-tracked album that made her so upset?

The only albums I think I've ever re-tracked and consistently listened to in some newfangled order are Gigaton, Stadium Arcadium, and the backwards version of DAMN.

It wasn't because of one album, I was showing her how I'd organized my sprawling collection of Spotify playlists into folders. One of the folders is called "retracked" and she asked what that meant and when I explained she was aghast

:haha: Okay I found the text exchange and I misremembered her reaction; it was less "horrified" and more "savagely making fun of me"
