I stuck it out with Arcade Fire longer then I probably should have. The EP and Funeral were great. Neon Bible had some good stuff, but went too far into the college freshman level melodrama for my liking. The Suburbs was quite nice on a song at a time level, but was a slog as an album. I don't remember much about Reflektor other than it being long. I think I liked some stuff and didn't care for others, but some of the weirdness around their imagery and persona around that time finally turned me off and I never checked out the 2017 album.

Old man question:
What do people mean when they say a rap song has a "sick/original beat"? I would think this means the actual beat, but when I listen to the song they are talking about, all I hear is the same generic hip hop beat I hear in every goddamn song. Nothing that sounds like it required special talent or artistry to make. So they have to mean something else, right?
Much more interesting beats in the electronic music I listen to...

"Cass Elliot of The Mamas & The Papas died in Flat 12, 9 Curzon Place (later Curzon Square), Shepherd Market, Mayfair, London. Four years later, The Who's drummer Keith Moon died in the same room, also aged 32 years."
