1995 was twenty five years ago. Has there been a Hall of Fame worthy rock band to form since then? I know there are 90s era groups/musicians that are not in but has there been anyone newer that could be on the verge of getting in?

Ugh. i can't think of 1.
Strokes? Jack White? My Morning Jacket?
Jack White probably
I’d go with Porcupine Tree, possibly Steven Wilson as an artist and surround mixer.
Blink-182 deserves to be there if they’re not already.
Long shots but deserve discussion; Sheryl Crow, Sum 41, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Ziggy Marley.

Pretty big fan of his stuff with the Melody Makers. His solo stuff is watered down and pretty weak. He does bust out at most 25% of his set as dad songs. I can’t say I’ve ever heard anyone complain.

I can’t agree with any of these. Sum 41? Are you serious?

They are huge outside of the US still.
Blink has a ten million selling album and the best modern of his era. That alone should make them shoe ins.

Blink-182 is unquestionably the worst band I have ever seen live (opening for Primus). It wasn’t just me, they were booed off stage (actually only time I have seen that). I am pretty sure The Muppets belong in the hall of fame first.

I thought Sum 41 made one song and then everyone just died from shame.

What’s the best modern of his era?
Fuck, edible and wine hitting me. Travis Barker is best modern drummer. I love the technical guys like in TOOL but Barker is unique in style, can play insanely fast with dynamics and Is a complete showman live. He’s quite often low in the mix, so you have to listen for what he’s truly doing. His intro to Feeling This is among maybe ten drum intros where you know the song about four hits in. Sum 41 is a bit like Blink, pretty much bigger everywhere in the world than the US.

I was in the mood for some Felice Brothers tonight, so I dug out my vinyl copy of Celebration, FL. Inside I found their set list from 5/7/10 written on the back of a Corona case. That was the last time I saw them. I kept harassing them every time they came off stage, requesting St Stephens End. Ian played it, but the promoter, who didn't recognize me from when he booked my old band, politely asked me to leave. Precious moments.

Hate rhat I’ve never seen them. They came to Denver once but I couldn’t make the drive.

I think one would have to be super out of touch to fully write off Blink for induction. They are massively, massively influential, even to this day, across rock, pop, and hip hop. I'm personally not much of a fan but I think they're definitely getting in at some point.

Coldplay would probably get in. Linkin Park. Foo Fighters are a shoe-in.
They also induct a lot of non-"rock" artists so Fiona Apple, Eminem and probably Justin Timberlake would get in. Maybe Missy Elliott and Alicia Keys...

Kanye, Jay-Z, Eminem, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga -- I think all of these artists will get in. Artists like Madonna, Michael Jackson, and 2Pac have been getting inducted for years -- no reason to think they're going to run out of nominees just because guitar-bass-drums rock music isn't at the fore of cultural influence anymore.
I also think, as we approach the early 2000's, we get into a period where the lines between underground and mainstream begin to blur a bit, so I expect we'll see bands like Wilco, Arcade Fire, etc., go up for inclusion in the coming decade or so. Maybe 1-2 of these per year alongside more recognizable pop figures.
There also always seems to be some long-neglected 70's rock act that gets inducted every year after having been passed over for decades. I imagine this will continue as the timeline moves forward. Like, the class of 2023 might be be Eminem, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Wilco -- and Cinderella, finally getting their due after two decades of being shortlisted!
