the terrible previews for A Star Is Born got me thinking: how many music movies (docs or otherwise) effectively conveyed the feeling of their chosen genre? All i can come up with:
Hype! Instrument (Fugazi) Heavy Metal The End of Western Civilization
Lots of other ones i've enjoyed, but i wouldn't say they act as a good extension of the music or surrounding culture. Where's as the ones i listed above evoke the same feelings as listening to the music itself
