It is a corker of an album indeed. The Violent Femmes were one of my earliest very own I found them myself musical discoveries (as compared to via my folks or my brother or sister). Huge sense of time with that album for me.

One of my favorite features of the Pixel phones is that they automatically identify songs and show them on your lock screen (there's also an app that has a list)

I play a lot of female sung songs for my kid, because I can tell her it’s Elsa singing while not actually having to listen to the Frozen soundtrack.
Man, you just unlocked a long-lost memory of my parents doing the same except it was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles supposedly singing random early-90s radio songs

All Them Witches might be the most underrated band around currently. I'm surprised Strat, Lie and Burt aren't obsessed with these guys. The vibes are immaculate.

This was me on Thundercat and Flying Lotus once:

His work on FlyLo’s Until the Quiet Comes was great but I just don’t love that album; and I’ve not spent enough time with Flamagra or the Yasuke soundtrack yet.
Turns out I really do love this album, and it may become my favorite FlyLo record (still haven’t dug into Flamagra or Yasuke).
His first few were really in your face, super compressed, almost confrontational with what he’s trying to get across to you. This one is way more restrained, subtle. Thundercat really is the lynchpin that holds the entire thing together.
I kind of had to wrap my head around the subsequent album, You’re Dead! — particularly the mellower back half — before I could go back to this one. His production grew by leaps and bounds on this record, and I’m finding all sorts of pockets of creativity to get lost in.

Glastonbury's lineup is insane this year. Sunday on The Park Stage stood out to me: Viagra Boys > Goldfrapp > Thundercat > Alt-J. At the same time the Woodsies stage has Slowdive > Editors > Polachek > Phoenix. I'd probably leave early to catch Queens elsewhere, but still.
I envy anyone attending, but I don't envy their need to decide.

Given all the shit that Till Lindemann has been up to - do I need to stop listening to Rammstien?
Really depends where you stand on separating the art from the artist.
Michael Jackson was definitely a creeper, but he had some bangers. Kanye West is a bona fide crackpot... bangers. Jimmy Page, David Bowie and Anthony Kiedis fucked 14-year-olds, but you guessed it -- total banger merchants. I can fully understand wanting to distance yourself from the art of these troubled individuals, though. It's a tough one.
