Josh Homme produced the new Royal Blood record. I think it's cool how they found their own sound as a two piece, with a short scale bass in split signal, which basically sounds like both a bass and a guitar playing in unison, but at what point do you just add a guitarist and branch out? The formula has grown stale.

I just listened to the new singles - I like it. You can hear Josh Homme’s influence for sure. I liked the first two records but heard them once or twice and it was good enough. This has a lot of promise.

Oh I've never checked out their live album, I'll give it a listen.

If I find a new artist and I don't know from which album I should start I usually go to allmusic.com, check out the Discography section and pick the albums based on the ratings. The thing is I don't even know what this site is or who is running it. I think I discovered it almost 20 years ago and have been using it ever since.
Here's an interesting thing I found from the FAQ-section (which I checked for the first time now):
Quote:
Why can't I find Bryan Adams on AllMusic? Due to the request of Mr. Adams, we are no longer permitted to display his information on AllMusic.

I'm listening to Iggy Pop's Post pop depression, remembering the amazing live show at the Fox Theater. I've never been a big Iggy Pop fan, but that was one of the best show's I've ever been to.

Agreed. I saw him just a few years ago and he was great.
