Saw Warpaint again yesterday, this time in a small venue. Such a good show. The band has a very distinct chemistry, not only the voices but the tone guitars sound very much like them. The girls were on fire. Kudos to Emily specially.

Such a cool show.
Seen them twice and they are great. An amazing band.
Agree about the tones, but Mozgawa is also a fantastic drummer.

Oh she is so good. Everything she does is good. And they really know how to interact with Jenny Lee. I was very blown away with how tight the whole band was...but i was surprised on how special Emily was last night.

I've really enjoyed the couple Warpaint records I've heard, but never imagined it'd translate to a good live show. Glad to hear otherwise. Any choice video clips I should check out?

I saw a few videos from previous years and they didnt sound that good. Last night was amazing. They did a very good show on sunday too, but it was a festival and it was way shorter. Last night it was something else.
Very loose sound but at the same time tight as hell. Everyone super focused but dancing along, having a good time. Super relax vibe and cool with the fans.

Yeah. A lot of the stuff on YouTube is from festivals and they don't sound particularly good.
I've seen them twice in tiny clubs (like sub-200 people) and it was great.

I saw them open for Nick Cave and didn't care for them, but the sound was muddy and the songs didn't come across particularly well. Are the albums a different story?

I really loved Flood's production on the 2014 self-titled record. His records always sound amazing.

I am really enjoying Phoebe Bridgers but I can’t help but think she’s sort of a more palatable version of Nicole Dollanganger.
IDK, I guess Phoebe does have some dark themes and she did the whole "ghost sheet" thing with her album/single covers, but she doesn't really seem to do the horror aesthetic Dollanganger does.

The first time I heard Phoebe Bridgers was early January of this year. I was laid out in the back of my sister's car in Los Angeles, more stoned than I'd ever been after having eaten an entire 12g ChabaChews Medical Marijuana Fruit Punch Gummy (had no idea how strong it would be). This song came on the Sirius station and I really liked it so I decided to make note of the name so I could look for it later. I asked my sister what it was and she read the name off the display: "Motion Sickness" by Phoebe Bridgers. The next day I looked at my phone and found what I'd jotted down on Samsung Notes: "Motion Pheb"

Huge fan of Theresa and Jenny Lee´s solo albums. They are amazing.
I haven't really listened to Jenny Lee's solo album. I'll do that today.
I really like it. It tends to be a little bit long maybe, but there is a pop element that appeared in the last band album but didnt quite existed before. Never bought it because for a weird reason it was really expensive.
