Thanks for the Elder recommendation, checking some of their stuff out now.

I really love that Kowloon Walled City album.

Sweet, hope you dig Elder. There is a bunch of stuff in this thread I need to get around to checking out.

Anyone jazzed about the new Intronaut coming in March?

all their albums are great but the best place to start is probably the newest one, From Mars To Sirius or The Way Of All Flesh. it took me a while to fully appreciate Gojira as well so you're not the only one late to the party.

I was late to that party too. L'enfant Sauvage ended up being one of my favorites of last year.

Their drummer is my kid's drum teacher.

Does Accept still count as metal? Really liked their last two; Blood of the Nations and Stalingrad.

My son says that outside of his double kick technique that technically he's the worst of his teachers so far. My son did say though that he brings lots of interpersonal skills, goal setting, this is what it takes, and creativity that others who haven't had the commercial success don't. My kid gets a laugh out of the fact that the guy buses to the lessons while my son drives. He seem slike a really nice guy, completely down to earth.

I wish Portal would make their albums a bit longer. The new one is very enjoyable but kinda stops when I'm fully into it.

Holy Shit I have just been immersed in Between The Buried And Me for the past couple weeks. Spotify had everything but their newest which I went ahead and picked up on CD. Definitely a lot more toned down but what a listening experience it is. Colors and The Great Misdirect are my favorites right now! Amazing musicians. When not listening to them, which isn't much right now, I'm also really enjoying High On Fire, and Farsot. Thanks again for all the recommendations guys.
