Almost a year since the release of Every Country's Sun.
New ranking.
Happy Songs for Happy People Mr Beast The Hawk Is Howling Young Team Come On Die Young Every Country's Sun Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will Rave Tapes Rock Action
I still think it's a strong album and the last four songs are killer.
But there are some "meh" songs in the middle and some of it feels kinda generically "post-rocky" to me. Like they are revisiting sounds instead of pushing ahead. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it does feel stagnant in places.

Aw man, Kevin Davis is right. They missed a golden opportunity with already having a song called "Secret Pint." No need to make a pun, and it would sound a lot cooler.

After a year and a half with Every Country's Sun, I feel comfortable calling it a (lower) midtier album.
Don't Believe the Fife has become my go-to track from the album.
I guess my one concern is that maybe it adheres a bit too much to some post-rock cliches, like the overall sound of Coolverine and the lead guitar noodling on the title track.
