This is the latest Mogwai mix I made for my 10-mile runs. It focuses more on tempo than the moody stuff I usually pick for my longer runs.

Rock Action is always way better than I remember. I guess, for me, it kinda gets lost because it's the bridge between the early stuff and that glorious run of Happy Songs-Mr. Beast-The Hawk Is Howling.

Agreed. Rock Action was the "new" album when I discovered Mogwai, and for whatever reason it kind of got lost in the shuffle of my listening at the time. It's really the first album where they begin to explore layers and textures more lush than their basic band format. I like it a lot.

2 Rights Make 1 Wrong is the song that got me into Mogwai, so I always loved Rock Action. It has its weaker moments, but the strong ones are pretty exceptional. Their two extra songs from the Japanese version of the album were pretty money, too.
Always a treat to hear them play anything live from this album, as it tends to be forgotten by the band with the exception of 2 Rights (which is a beast live - my hair was blowing in the wind from the amps) and an occasional You Don't Know Jesus.

My top 10 (as usual, in nor order and totally malleable):
1. 2 Rights Make 1 Wrong 2. Danphe and the Brain 3. Mogwai Fear Satan 4. Emergency Trap 5. Too Raging to Cheers 6. May Nothing But Happiness Come Through Your Door 7. I Know You Are, But What Am I? 8. Summer 9. Helicon 2 10. Sad DC
Hmm, looks like that's my chill-out top 10; guess I'm in the mood for mellow Mogwai right now.

I've been on a non-stop Mogwai odyssey for the past week +. This band seems to be the only thing that can satisfy the void in my ear holes. Come on Die Young is still my least favorite, but I'd take anything else these guys have done over anything by any other "post rock" type of band.

ill listen to their entire discography this weekend...any suggestion on which order should i follow?
I would start at the beginning, but the beginning should really be Ten Rapid, not Young Team. The key to Mogwai is to make sure to listening to EVERYTHING. Some of the best stuff is on their non-studio albums. EPs, soundtracks, B-sides, special collections, etc. Even the remix albums are excellent!
