The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

I could say something snarky about how that's not country music but I suppose to each their own. Though it does pain me to listen to it, especially after having grown up on artists like Randy Travis and the like.
Most of country on the radio today is over-produced pop. There are multiple songs where it sounds like the writers had a good chorus/hook but couldn't come up with the rest of the song so they just said, "fuck it!" and left it like that.

There's some new country dude whose bit is to play bro-country (ya know, the huntin', drinkin', fishin', noodlin', 4-wheelin', drinkin', pickup truckin', river wadin' redneck datin' variety of lyrics set to Nickelback music)...
And the. In the 2nd set, he comes out and does some Ray Price, Don Williams, Hank Williams (1), Waylon, Willie, Merle, etc.
Anyone know who I'm talking about?

I discovered Daniel Romano sometime last year, he's really, really good. Everything I love about classic country music and he writes great songs. His last album, Come Cry With Me, is about as close in sound to '60s George Jones as anything done in the last 40 years.
