We were just talking the other night.. about how awesome it would be to see a wierd Al concert..

That said, I've never seen anything advertising a wierd Al tour ever.. does he tour??

Still one of the best live shows I've ever seen (although it was enhanced by some psychedelics).

I remember being impressed with the musicianship involved. For some reason, seeing it play out on a video is not the same as seeing this goofball and his cheeseband play masterfully right in front of you. And the show was genuinely funny.

I dig Al. I like anybody who is that talented and yet not at all above a cheap laugh.

I'm so fucking out of touch with modern pop music. I don't even know the original. But I quite like parody.

word crimes is still the best of the bunch so far

At first I was pretty underwhelmed with Foil, I was all "oh great another weird al song about eating" but it totally redeems itself in the second half.

Always laugh at this line in "Handy:" "I got 99 problems but a switch ain't one."

The originals are pretty good too. "First World Problems" is a quite excellent Pixies-style song: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x21fc7j_weird-al-yankovic-first-world-problems_music

Probably the weakest of the bunch so far.

Here's the Pixies style parody:

This is how I picture most RM'ers.

the new album is fantastic. Favorite song is either "Word Crimes" or "Jackson Park Express."

My least favourite song on the album. Quite like the animation style of the video, though.

I saw that too, cheers for him. The video a day plan worked!
And yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing him perform either.
