The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
'94 will always be special for me personally. Superunkown became my measuring stick album and pretty much everything for the rest of the decade didn't quite measure up. 1991 was amazing, and really the whole first half of the decade ranks up there with almost any other 5 year period (late 60's early 70's are fucking amazing tho).
I'd go with 1991. There was a monster new record out almost every week. (I was working in a record store, so I heard 'em all.) That whole period from 91 to about 95 or 96 was a great time for music in a bunch of different genres (rock/alternative, rap, even country was kicking ass back then). I don't think it's just nostalgia talking when I say that music simply doesn't work this way anymore.
Just got a ticket to see the reunited Veruca Salt in June @ the Roxy
So stoked
I got one for SF - only time I ever saw them was opening for Live at an amphitheater, looking forward to seeing them in a club.
Saw them on that tour as well, also PJ Harvey. They killed it that night Only other time I saw VS was without Nina in 02 or something at a large festival. Wasn't the same
