Life is a really solid album, there are a lot of songs I like on there. I think my favorite is "Too Lonely."

Landing on Water is less solid, but "Hippie Dream" and "Violent Side" are good.

I did notice that you played my music at your latest rally in Dakota despite my previous requests.

Because you are in charge of the Covid 19 response here in the USA, I will not sue you, (as certainly is my right) potentially distracting from your important work at hand protecting and saving American lives. With the enormous power you wield on our behalf, I wish you all the best in your critical battle to save American souls from this threat. I know you will do your best for all Americans, regardless of political leanings. I give you my encouragement in your efforts to Unify America.

I suggest you listen to my song ‘Looking For A Leader 2020,” available on my website, neilyoungarchives.com as part of a work I recently completed with my wife- “The Porch Episode,” as I believe it would be an interesting addition to your next rally.

With respect to your office,
Neil Young

I remember watching some television performance of silver and gold songs when it came out and loving it. But I never bought the album. I think I ended up confusing it with prairie wind and thinking silver and gold was some substandard album. I just got it and its so good.

Heck yeah! S&G reinvigorated a love of Neil that has previously been limited to After the Goldrush, Mirror Ball, And Harvest. I was working for a contractor when S&G came out, and he played it on his DeWalt stereo all the time at the job sites. Sent me down a path that has been incredibly rewarding.

Silver and Gold was a big deal album for me too.

It was a huge thing for me when it came out. I was listening to a lot of rock and to have that album felt different. i think it was the first acoustic album from him that i got super into.

Also, it was a gift from my mom.

An underappreciated Neil album, for sure. I also really enjoy the Year of the Horse live album from that tour.

Devil's Sidewalk? Wouldn't have pegged Trump for a Greendale fan. Respect.

I sat a few rows behind Trump when Neil played Carnegie Hall last. I remember turning to my mom going "ew, look, its Trump".

About a month ago, I randomly saw a clip of Neil on TV performing Peaceful Valley Boulevard, and it sounded so good. It dawned on me that I only know the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his discography. For the past 25 years, I have had Mirror Ball, Decade, Psychedelic Pill, and Le Noise on fairly frequent rotation but that has been about the extent of it. So, I've started at the beginning and it has been very rewarding thus far.

I've been taking it slow and just made it through the 70's. What a run he had that decade. Almost impossible to rank, but here it goes:

Rust Never Sleeps
Everybody Knows This is Nowhere
On The Beach
Tonight's the Night
After the Gold Rush
Zuma
Time Fades Away
Homegrown
American Stars 'N Bars
Harvest
Hitchhiker
Comes A Time
Neil Young
Long May You Run

I'm now looking forward to the 80's. My expectations aren't as high, but looking forward to unearthing some hidden gems.

As one who did that last year or so, be patient and walk into the 89s with no expectations- not as easy to get through as the 70s.

Enjoyed the video of those 3 guys ranking all 43 albums. You can tell up front that they probably had their fill of Neil and don't want to listen to him again anytime soon. But they had good banter and insights especially as they got closer to the end. Based on what they said, I think I am now looking forward to Ragged Glory, Trans, and Sleeps with Angels the most of the albums I have yet to hear.
