Did anyone perform a wellness check on Uncle Neil?

Or is the new porn audio service proof that he's doing just fine?

Not to be annoying (here comes something annoying) but imagine if Pearl Jam started up their own high quality music player and charged people $20-30 per album and then it went dormant for almost a year before they started up a streaming audio service instead.

People love to suck Neil's dick (and I'm first in line) but holy Jesus.

The first sentence of this is great.

And a pox upon trag's house for starting a post in this thread with "RIP."

His dedication to high quality digital music is not unlike his dedication to his 80’s musical output

Looks like "Time Fades Away" is getting a proper CD release as part of this set:
https://www.amazon.com/Original-Release ... fades+away

It's on Reprise so presumably it's the real deal, though what to expect of the mastering job is anyone's guess. Fingers crossed for a standalone release too.

There is no reason to believe it won't be the same as the hi-res but with HDCD processing, like everything else.

Well, except that no one uses HDCD anymore, not even Neil.

Wrong. The last NY disc I bought was HDCD encoded and the Grateful Dead box released last week is HDCD encoded too. They just don't put it on the packaging anymore.

"Time Fades Away" has been pushed ahead to September, BTW. Fucking Neil.
