Listened this morning. Neil was in the mood to chat. I am happy to hear him play See the Sky About to Rain any time.

The CD release of "Carnegie Hall" is yet another package variation, but I really like this one.

It's a regular cardboard slipcase but slightly boxy, so it's wide enough that you can slit it with a razor and leave the shrinkwrap on, just like an LP, and the discs will come out easily. And the CD's are in paper sleeves instead of just freeballing it.

My LP won't arrive until Tuesday, so I haven't listened all the way through this, but some of the songs have shown up on my Spotify playlists. Flying On The Ground Is Wrong is goooorgeous on this one.

I've always been partial to the version of "Flying On the Ground is Wrong" from A Treasure -- the sad country arrangement coupled with the extra miles on Neil's voice really does that song a service, IMO.

Yup. Best version ever, and who would have thought.

Does anybody here have more information about the timeline concerts for subscribers?

Are they soundboards? Are they audience tapes?

Do I have to *cough* pay for them?

They are a mix of sources, but most are board tapes. You do have to be a subscriber, but you can also download them on Soulseek. I have some of them

Finally spinning Carnegie Hall.

It's good to know some things never change. Neil to crowd during Sugar Mountain: "Sing with me...no, don't clap, sing."

The intro to "Birds" is classic.

How many other gems am I missing in the "subscriber-only outtakes section of the NYA"?

I've never heard Neil's original version. Sleep Baby Sleep by Nicolette Larson was our families favorite children's album after my twins were born.
