That song, while not bad at all, had the peculiar effect of making me like both artists a little less. Like it laid bare a few of my least-favorite aspects of both acts, or the more tiresome common places they tend to fall towards. Hard to put into words. I like the video though.

The full St. Vincent treatment, as I predicted. I like that they are trying something new, still optimistic for the album. I've enjoyed this track a little more with each successive listen.

I think I like it all quite a bit except for the chorus. There's just a few moments here where it leans too far away from working with St. Vincent to forge a new sound and into just using some of her tricks wholesale. But overall it's a move further in the direction they started on Cities; I always thought a lot of the guitar work on that record was reminiscent of things I'd hear on the St. Vincent self-titled record.

Definitely digging the single, looking forward to the full album for sure. Kind of indifferent about Annie Clark's involvement TBH, just enjoying the new-ish direction which I think they would have evolved to anyway in some form with or without her

From the single and artwork, I'm getting a futuristic/techno-y/the matrix vibe. I watched The Matrix Reloaded about a week ago, first time since it came out I think, I liked it. Will probably watch Revolutions soon and listen to this song many more times.
