The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I pre-ordered a special edition vinyl of this record back in like September or something like that. I'd totally forgotten until I got a notification that the record is being delivered today!
So I'll wait to listen to it until I can spin that wax.
Bandcamp?
Spotify, actually. I think?
Nice. Bandcamp has a sweet looking metallic yellow variant. I almost went for that one.
Lovely.
Mine is like an orange marble. Haven't listened yet but it looks gorgeous!

Im diggin the new one a lot. Corin really shine here, her range is huge. I wonder if the album will have enough stay power...this one feels different like the true next album after The Woods, but i remember really liking the last two when they came out and completely lost my interest after a few weeks.

I’m not as tuned in as others with this band, but I thought this one was really good. Say It Like You Mean It, and Six Mistakes really stood out on the first listen.

even tough i like this drummer and her choice of being more limited and minimalist, i also think how Janet would have played these songs, which is a testament on how much i like them

Hello, new to the forum and a big (newer) S-K fan. I really liked Little Rope and I managed to see them four times during their recent tour and they were AMAZING. I much preferred this tour to the The Center Won't Hold tour.
Untidy Creatures is an absolute instant classic btw.

How do you like the post-Janet material compared to their older stuff?

Personally, nothing post-Cities is as good as what came before, but I think Little Rope has come the closest and feels like a return to form. I like parts of Center Won't Hold and I admit the songs are WAY better live. Path of Wellness is my least favorite S-K album, but I'll still give it a listen to occasionally. I think what hurt it the most was them self-producing it. The sound felt...safe? For lack of a better word.
My three favorite S-K albums are The Woods, Cities, and One Beat.
