I remember thinking that at the No Cities for Love shows I saw, that the crowd skewed younger (and was more invested in the new stuff) than you would have expected for a reunion tour for a band that'd been dormant for a while. I presume (like the article says) a lot of that is due to Portlandia.

Well there’s some between the lines stuff that isn’t spelled out. They say Weiss picked Clarke to produce, but they also say the original plan was to have a multitude of producers...then at some point the decision was made to use only Clarke. Then something about all the songs being written without Janet, and her not attending a number of sessions?

It still reads to me like the record was made without a certain level of input from Weiss, and that the other two don’t really want to admit that.

Well as a fan it’s frustrating. The new songs suck to my ears, and Janet was a force.

Yeah, i get that but she is out. For some reason, she decided to spent all those months making the album, do promo shots then leave when the tour was coming...Of course she wasnt feeling it i guess.

I love the new tracks, thats why im over Janet. Im sad ill never be able to see SK in full janet mode, but im alright with that too.
